Pastor Leo and Anika at The Song For Haiti Benefit Concert

We are back with part 2 of our Q & A with Pastor Leo, you can find part 1 here.

Mike: Thank you for joining us again, Pastor Leo! Where in ministry are you most regularly tempted to discouragement?

Pastor LeoTo have a form without the reality, it is very easy to get into a routine and that is dangerous because it brings what I hate “RELIGION.” It is hard to maintain family, ministry, and your personal life. God ordained order and balance!

Mike: If you were not in ministry, what occupational path would you have chosen?

Pastor Leo: I have a bachelors in Elementary Education, so I would have been a teacher.

Mike: What are your thoughts on expository preaching and expository faithfulness?

Pastor LeoHaving an EXPOSITORY approach in your ministry is a lost art and it is really needed! It can be done in a fun, relevant way where a preacher doesn’t need an hour and a half to do it.

Mike: What are your feelings toward theology? Is theology important?

Pastor LeoTheology is the study of God, religious faith, practice, and experience, or of spirituality.  Yes, but the word is scary and we have to present it in a way where others can run to it instead of running away from it.

Mike: Do you think up and coming ministers should go to seminary and why?

Pastor LeoSeminary was a blessing for my life, but can you be a minister without it? Yes. I believe that all who minister must love His word and desire to learn it. How they learn it to me doesn’t really matter as long as the one teaching it to them can teach it.

Mike: Amongst the many desires you have for New Life, does one in particular stand out from the rest?

Pastor LeoTo Be A People That Sincerely Love God with their Hearts and not only their mouths. That we LIVE  to LOVE God more than this LIFE!

This concludes our interview, thanks again for your time and great insights Pastor Leo!
